Can I share it straight from my Downloads?
Yes. On Android, open Files → Downloads, press and hold the file, then tap Share → WhatsApp. On iPhone, open Files → Downloads, press and hold the file, then tap Share → WhatsApp.
Does it play right in the chat?
Yes. MP3 and M4A files sent as audio show a play button in the chat. Sent as a document from iPhone, they open and play with one tap.
Can I use a TikTok sound as my WhatsApp notification tone?
On most Android phones, yes: move the file into the Notifications folder with the Files app, then pick it in WhatsApp → Settings → Notifications → Notification tone. iPhone only offers WhatsApp’s built-in tones.
Why is there no Sound button for some posts?
Some posts, mostly slideshows and reposted clips, don’t come with a separate soundtrack file. You can still download the video and send that instead.
Is it OK to share TikTok sounds?
Sending a sound to friends is personal use. Music and voices belong to their creators and rights holders, so don’t publish them as your own.
